# Nano Apps

> Nano Apps is a small family of focused, native macOS utilities built by an independent developer. Each app does one thing, does it well, and respects your privacy. getnano.dev is the umbrella site for the Nano family (NanoClip, NanoVoice, NanoPad, and more to come).

Nano apps are:
- Native macOS apps (SwiftUI, Apple platforms only)
- Designed to be tiny, fast, and focused — no bloat, no accounts required
- Privacy-first: data stays on your Mac unless you explicitly choose otherwise
- Sold as one-time lifetime licenses via Polar.sh (no subscriptions)

## Buying and licensing

- Purchases are handled by [Polar.sh](https://polar.sh). Checkout entry points: `https://www.getnano.dev/api/checkout/clip` and `https://www.getnano.dev/api/checkout/voice`.
- Each purchase grants a lifetime license key delivered by email.
- License keys are activated per-device and can be deactivated/moved between Macs.
- The Mac apps validate licenses against endpoints under `https://www.getnano.dev/api/licenses/<app>/` (validate, activate, deactivate). These endpoints proxy to Polar and are intended for the apps themselves, not for general browsing.
