01Capture and search
Open the same place you search.
The global shortcut brings up a keyboard-friendly panel. Type to narrow your notes, move through results, or start a new note without changing tools.
The default open-notes shortcut is Control–Command–N and can be changed in Settings.

02Markdown and connections
Plain text, with useful structure inside it.
Write markdown normally, mark tasks done inline, add tags, and connect one note to another with wiki-style links.
The editor keeps the source editable while giving headings, tasks, tags, dates, and note links a clearer visual treatment.

Any note can become a lightweight window that stays visible while you work. Close the window when you are done; the note remains in NanoPad.

04Organization and sync
Folders when they help. iCloud when you switch Macs.
Group notes into folders, pin the ones you return to, and let Apple sync the library through the iCloud account already on your Mac.
NanoPad has no custom notes backend. iCloud availability and sync are handled through your Apple account.
