Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 30, 2026

Overview

NanoClip, NanoPad, and related apps (“our apps”) are developed by Digital Toys (“we”, “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data our apps access, how it is stored, and what we do (and do not) collect.

Data That Stays on Your Device

All content processed by our apps — clipboard items, notes, text, images, files, and URLs — is stored locally on your Mac in each app's sandboxed Application Support directory. We never transmit, upload, or have access to your data.

  • Clipboard history
  • Saved snippets and notes
  • Usage statistics (copy counts, streaks, top apps)
  • Link preview cache (titles, favicons, OG images)
  • App preferences and settings

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced across your Macs through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We do not operate any servers and have no access to your iCloud data.

Analytics & Diagnostics

Our apps collect minimal, anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the products. This includes:

  • Feature usage counts (e.g., picker opened, item pasted)
  • App version and macOS version
  • Purchase and subscription events

Analytics data is fully anonymous — we do not collect your name, email, clipboard content, IP address, or any personally identifiable information. You can disable analytics in each app's settings at any time.

Accessibility Permissions

Some of our apps request Accessibility permission to register global keyboard shortcuts and enable features like snippet auto-expansion. This permission is used solely for keyboard event monitoring — our apps do not read screen content, track input in other applications, or log keystrokes.

Third-Party Services

Our apps do not integrate any third-party advertising, tracking, or data-brokering SDKs. The only external network requests are:

  • Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases and license verification
  • Apple CloudKit for iCloud sync (when enabled by the user)
  • Website metadata fetching for link previews (title, favicon, OG image — fetched directly from the linked URL, no proxy)

Data Retention & Deletion

You control your data. You can delete individual items, clear all history, or remove saved content at any time from within the app. Uninstalling an app removes all locally stored data. iCloud-synced data can be removed through your iCloud account settings.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
